Khar social has finally made a pitstop in North Mumbai after opening 3 offline socials in Sobo, this one at Khar, the whole 3 level interior set up is inspired by low cost housing, (now who would have thought that low cost housing would inspire anybody), full marks to the design firm who executed the interiors, and Impresario Hospitality to have the vision of such a project where you can work and network (yes have a offline life too, while staring at your white screen) and meet other creatives working out of here.
The thing which makes Khar social unique unlike any other social offline is that this one has a built in skateboard ramp housed in the compound, the skateboard ramp is of decent size, but much smaller than the one in Bangalore or Pune, but you need to appreciate the gesture of Impresario Hospitality of doing something different rather than the usual run of the mill activities, which you can do at a hangout. The menu is extremely innovative and priced with due consideration to the college going crowd, I had a home made lemonade Rs 80 and and Bombay bhelpuri for lunch (Rs 160) which is a sweet price for such a awesome venue. But the bar prices are at par with other upmarket bars with beers priced at 225/- and imported beers like Erdinger at around 575/- still quite a good deal.
