The builder, Samir Bhojwani, falsely claimed possession of the two plots on which the bungalow was constructed from Bandra’s upscale Pali Hill region, the official stated.
Police suspect the Mr Bhojwani forged the bungalow to be grabbed by documents that were certain, he said.
Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu lately approached the police and lodged a complaint against Mr Bhojwani following that the offence was registered contrary to the builder Monday, Deputy Commissioner of Police (EOW) Parag Manere said.
“We are investigating the case thoroughly and action will be taken so,” he said.
As per the complaint, the legendary celebrity had purchased both the plots of the bungalow in 1953 for Rs 1.40 lakh, another police officer said.
However asserted the land was bought by his dad from the Mulraj Khatau Trust in the 1980s he said.
From where they captured weapons, such as knives and daggers following the offence was registered, a group of EOW sleuths on Monday raided Mr Bhojwani’s house in Bandra, the police officer added.
